matter really
- but i had to play along with the GID diagnostic in order to have the surgery.

Other (6)
- intersex is already ok by me and any term that does not invalidate or make me into some pathology could be also ok.
- I don't think renaming is ultimately useful. language is always subject to manipulation
- HELL NO! But I understand why.
- This is very bad and creates more shame and stigma for intersex children and adults.
- It implies that most people are "ordered" and from what I can tell the no 2 people are that much alike.
- No! The whole thing upsets me. It reminds me of
how governments try to describe who is and isn't an Aboriginal in order
to decrease their numbers and not be obligated to provide certain
promised entitlements. If fewer of us exist then the binary system of
gender can still be imposed. The less numbers we have the easier it is
to deny our rights.
Question 12: Some argue that the
promotion of "DSD" has ensured the exclusion of some
categories of people
who have
experienced earlier treatment for intersex conditions from having an
intersex voice, or treatment as intersex people.
What
do you think?

A)
I support DSD, it is right to exclude some people
B) I support
DSD, it is wrong to exclude some people
C) I support DSD, would
want to see all intersex people included
D) I dont support DSD,
unhappy that my treatment may be affected
E) I dont support DSD,
am concerned for future treatment of others F) I dont support DSD, am

A) born/assigned female and still identify as female
- mutilated and lied to. Assignation not valid
- identify as intersexed, unsure of definition of "ambiguously"
- Why is "born/assigned female and now identify lesbian, bi or
queer anbiguously or third/fourth/fifth gendered, not an option? Also
you have conflated separate catagories with question 15. Sex, gender,
and sexual preference identities are 3 different things. If you really
want to know what this issues means for intersex individuals, you have
to start by broadening your perceptions of what those issues are and
not assume that your "catagories" are the only ones of relevance.
