Upcoming presentation on intersex at the University of Umeå, Sweden
OII-Board member from Spain will be presenting a paper at the University of Umeå, Sweden along with two other scholars. This paper deals with the current debate surrounding DSD terminology in the United States and special emphasis is given to the context of intersex treatment and visibility in Spain.
Dr. Silvia García-Dauder is on the board of OII as a bridge to the feminist community and speaks on the impact that intersex activism has had on feminist theory and the confluences of interest involved. She has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and is a professor of Social Psychology and feminist theory in Madrid.
