Spreading the Kellogisms.

I just read a circular stating that a book is just going on the shelves called “The handbook of Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders. It was Lynn Conway who raised the initial alarm. I trust what she says now. So clearly she must have seen something a bit weird about this book. So I decided to have a look into it.
The abstract says it all really.
Handbook of Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders. John Wiley and Sons Ltd, Feb 2008, Pages: 671
"The Handbook of Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders provides mental health professionals a comprehensive yet practical guide to the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of sexual problems. Featuring contributions from experts from all over the world, this up-to-date reference takes a biopsychosocial approach to each disorder making this book a valuable tool for those who practice in the medical fields as well.”
Well, as you will soon discover, this is not quite what it is claimed to be. The word you need to look out for is “biopsychosocial” which in plain English is means: “How to pander to the prejudices of a bunch of rutting apes by claiming that all discussed in this book are deviant perverts and must be socially cleansed from society”. It is just another “Venus and Mars” catch all phrase used by people of certain disciplines to peddle “Evolutinary Psychology”.
“Consistent with DSM-IV-TR classification, the Handbook is organized according to the three major classifications of sexual disorders: (1) sexual dysfunctions (2) gender identity problems; and (3) atypical or inappropriate sexual behaviours and practices (including the paraphilias). Additional chapters on child sexual abuse, sexual addiction, crime, and the legal and privacy issues surrounding sexual offenders help to provide a thorough overview of the field.”
Whenever the term “DSM” appears, you know what to expect, a whole list of pathologizing terms which are spun dried into some medical meaning to give the publication some credibility. But what makes this most telling is how (as you will see) children born with genetic or metabolic conditions that affect sex differentiation are listed here, as opposed to in a publication about endocrinology or genetics. It is really curious how such issues appear in this publication, alongside men who cannot “Get it up” when “Chasing”. Hmm, this is all beginning to have a few hallmarks of certain worrisome “experts” on it.
Essentially the book is a list of “sexual and gender disorders” and is intended to be a standard text for psychologists. The book is broken into three parts: the first about male and female sexual dysfunction. It seems to be the standard list of peewee problems psychologists deal with. Hubby can’t get a stiffy and wifey cannot get an orgasm. The next section is about “Gender Identity Disorders”, more on that in a moment, and the third section is basically about a lot of the things some of the authors get up to. (Fetishes, paraphilias, etc). What you will probably notice is that the first and third sections are clearly about psychological issues. Well, this is not so surprising because it is a book for psychologists.
The central section is not quite so clear. The first chapter in that section consists of Eric Vilain spouting his usual “Foot in mouth” pathology of genetics and sex. What has the genetics of sex got to do with psychology? It is then followed with a chapter about “DSD” (Disorders of Sex-ual Development) and this is written by someone called Vickie Pasterki. Considering that “DSD” is supposed to describe a number of endocrine, genetic and physiological conditions that are apparent from birth, I do not see what it has to do with psychology. OK, I can see why someone would want to see a psychologist in order to deal with being told they have such a condition after being lied to, by psychologists. I can see why someone who was traumatized by surgery in childhood would want to see a psychologist, because of the previous recommendations (involving a psychologist) to have them carved up in the first place. Forgive me if I look on this so far with a little bit of skepticism. Who is Vickie Paterski anyway? From what I have found so far, she is in practice in the UK in the West Midlands (Warwickshire). Oh, right she works for the health trust or health authority that mutilated me, brutalized me and then lied through their teeth when I confronted them about it. Well, there is more to the story. She is a friend of Melissa Hines (A Dreger like being who has this interest in what toys children play with). Paterski is one of those background figures that just appears in the credits and little else. But her connections are interesting, Prof. Euan Hughes for example, the Cambridge professor who brought Team Bailey into the UK for example.
What follows are a small number of chapters on transsexualism. OK, you could say we are back in the realms of psychology, except for the fact that the “experts” on these issues (Zucker and Lawrence) are not exactly what I would describe as ethical. I know Anne Lawrence has done a lot for transsexual women in terms of information about surgery and so on, but she lost her credibility when she became friends with Dr. Kenneth “Hannibal” Zucker and J Michael Bailey. Basically we are talking about pathologizing transsexual folks in the last three chapters of that section. As I have already pointed out, the last section covers issues that really apply to Anne Lawrence (whose interest in genital surgery is more of a fetish than a gender issue) and Kenneth “Hannibal” Zucker (whose “treatment” regime seems like it was designed by a abusive mentality quite frankly).
Let’s get back to that strange word, “biopsychosocial”. It sort of jumps out of the page, making a sound not unlike the one you hear near a pond at a park on a sunny day: “Quack Quack”! Or sort of like those strange potions snake oil peddlers used to sell. Only with that John Harvey Kellog twist of visceral prurience and pathology.
The only reason I would visit a “Gender psychologist” would be to tell them what I think of them and that would not be very nice.. This is the reason I tend to avoid seeing them. But back to this “Biopsychosocial” model. Well, I can tell you what the thinking behind it is. None other than Team Bailey. You know who I mean, the team who ran ISNA and kept quiet about what they were really up to, the Team that gave us pure bigotry in the form of an oxymoronic concept called “Gay Eugenics”, the team that brought you a quack driven to dementia by his anger against transsexual folks because he could not get a boner while trying to have sex with one of those he was “researching”. The team that brought you the Dynamic Stepford Duo. A pair of quacks who in their insane narcissism want the world to be dictated according to their nocturnal antics. The Team that brought you the abusive quack who brutalizes children into “Gender roles” and was probably the prototype for the fictional Hannibal Lecter. The team that gave us the genital surgery fetishist who is said to fiddle about with people’s bits while they are under anesthetic, for sexual kicks. The team that brought you “Men are from Mars, women from Venus - everything else belongs in a gas chamber”. The team that brought you the most mentally abusive online trolls ever to appear on the internet. The team that brought you a lunatic who cannot decide not only what sex she is but whether or not she is a linux penguin named after a character in Star Trek and who in this barking mad state sets up lots of bogus organizations to trap the vulnerable. The team that brought you the geneticist who wants to take surgery “in utero”. Yes Team Bailey, that is who! “Biopsychosocial” is another little Kellogism to con parents into handing their children over to perverts and con vulnerable adults into some kind of self-hating hell.
Did I miss anything?
I will tell you why I can get away with writing this. For the simple reason that in court these people, Team Bailey would have a hell of a lot of explaining to do. In fact it has got to the stage where some people are actually hoping that Team Bailey take umbrage and decide to take it to court. Because they are confident that after that court hearing, team Bailey would probably be facing charges of the abuse of minors, the abuse of vulnerable adults, medical malpractice, gross professional misconduct, perjury, fraudulently practicing medicine with the intent to cause harm. They will probably be charged with incitement to hatred, conducting human vivisection without consent, unethical practices (Involving “Research subject” entrapment) and cruelty to cats.
All this book “The Handbook of Sexual and Gender Identity disorders” does is illustrate how deep a hole these people are digging for themselves. The truth of the matter is their less than legal, ethical and moral antics have been in the public domain for about 5 years now, and not one of them has challenged it. Think about that logically, you would think that blatantly calling a medical professional a child abusing, baby eating Satanist from hell would result in a court case right? Wrong!
However, “debate” aside there are a few problems with this book. It will foster a climate of gender conformity that would make the Victorian era look liberal. The book is presented in a late 19th century language; it is also based on the philosophical approach of the time. “Biopsychosocial” being a particularly disgusting example. The majority of the contributors to the book have about the same level of understanding as they did in the 19th century. And it is as deadly, Eric Vilain, while often talking like a complete idiot knows exactly what he is doing. He understands genetics really well. I have even recommended him in the past. However, we are talking about an otherwise serious geneticist spouting about behavioral genetics. What else would he be talking about in a psychologist’s manual? The problem here is that Vilan (who often seems to admit his unease about all this) simply cannot keep away from the quackery that is behavioral eugenics. It is not so much the issue of behavior being regulated genetically; it is the cherry picking approaches that usually result in the “proposed elimination” or “proposed genetic modification” of those who do not fit this cherry picked ideal. Get him chatting away with right wing lunatics like Bailey and Dreger and yes we are in the realm of Tiergartenstrasse 4. You see this is where “Biopsychosocial” leads, because that is what it is, a “Kellogism” as I call it. John Harvey Kellog, the man famous for concepts like “Rational hydrotherapy”, “Race Betterment” and his only real contribution, cornflakes. (Which is disputed; it may have been one Dr Jackson). Kellogg and his cronies invented many such bizarre terms and even that habit of respelling words like “Biologic” and “Therapeutics” and “Tobaccosim” often forming the title of a given text with the heading “The plain facts” and all this presented in the form of a manual. (Sound familiar?). It is not even viable terminology a lot of the time, but words that were invented by the cut and pasting of already existing words and given that “Kellogg” twist. We are talking about the “Quackalogics of biosocial controlism in the eugenic realm of the genderismic politics” (The linguistics of George W. Bush, Jr?). Bush talks in Kellogisms.
And people see this as the language of authority.
This is all Handbook of Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders really is, a list of quack “soulutions” and endless Kellogisms to give a false air of authority. This book is little more than 19th and early 20th century quackery, of the sort that led to gas chambers.
I really cannot put up with the idea that all I am worth as a human being is to be reduced and abused further by the two sex system, by people who I am really beginning to despise, who see to think that on the basis of some tentative theory they have a licence to make my life as hellish as possible. I am unable to use some of the local health care providers because they are “infected” with “Team Bailey”. If you think what I have written is libelous, you should hear what I really say about the remainder of “Team Bailey”. There is little point in saying more, above and beyond the simple message that I have had enough of it, and the only difference between them and myself in terms of slander is that they can do it legally, I cannot respond in kind. Legally.
Freedom of speech you see.
